Although sitting by the beach with a drink in hand is a great idea, getting out of the resort to see the beauty of El Nido is a must. Here are 7 things to do in El Nido, Palawan:
1. Snorkel and kayak in the Small Lagoon.
Ahhh, this is the El Nido I expected- clear turquois waters and breathtaking marine life. Located on the cove of Miniloc Island, the Small Lagoon is a surreal place where you can spend the day swimming, kayaking or just lounging around on a small boat and thanking nature for giving us this beauty.
2. Visit the Big Lagoon.
The water is crystal clear that you can see what’s under the water from your boat. It’s a must to take a photo here as this is one of the iconic places of Palawan.
3. See Cathedral Cave.
The cathedral-like opening of this cave is the reason for its name. This stop is usually included in the Island Hopping package.
4. Go inside Cadugnon Cave.
It was scary at first to brave the small opening of the cave but you have to go in. Once inside, you will be in awe of the spectacular rock formations.
5. Climb the hill to see the Snake Island.
The Snake Island is named as such because of its S-shaped sandbar. It is more visible during low tide. By climbing the hill, you can not only see the Snake Island but also a view of Bacuit Bay.
6. Have lunch in an island.
Nothing spells island vacation more than riding a boat, going to a different island, and eating fresh food with coconut juice.
7. Sight-see along the way.
The island is so beautiful that going from one place to another via the boat is an experience in itself.
