A lot of people looked forward to the opening of Conrad Manila, mainly to try out China Blue by Jereme Leung. Celebrity master chef Jereme Leung is known to offer a modern interpretation of traditional Chinese cuisine.
Located at the 3rd floor of Conrad Manila, China Blue is elegant and sophisticated yet warm and welcoming. There are classy and glittering chandeliers in the main dining area.
There are also private dining room that can seat from 8-18 guests, perfect for intimate special occasions.
The floor-to-ceiling glass windows offers a stunning view of the Manila Bay.
There’s also an open kitchen so you can see the chefs in action.
A must-try here are their dimsum that was given a unique touch by Chef Jereme. On the upper left of the photo below is the House-specialty Steamed Truffle Mushroom Buns. On the right is the House-Specialty Black Gold Egg Custard Buns.
This is the Har Kau, steamed shrimp dumplings with ivy moss plant.
They also have the Chinese classic favorites like Sweet and Sour Pork
and Braised Beef.
Of course, it’s always a good idea to end a Chinese meal with Mango Sago.
Overall, my China Blue experience was pleasant. I had a relaxing time because of the view. I also appreciate the attention to detail in the food and even the plates and the teapot! The plates were painstakingly handpainted, by the way!
As expected, price point is a bit on the high side. Expect to shell out at least P1000 per person, depending on your order. But I would love to go back to China Blue, most specially during special occasions. 🙂
