Happy Chinese New Year to all! How did you spend the first day of the Year of the Fire Monkey? I spent mine hosting the Good Life event at the Trinoma Activity Center.
With every special celebration comes the Good Life products that bring out the authentic taste and flavor of your favorite Asian-inspired dishes. Here are their products- Good Life Vermicelli, Good Life Egg Noodles, Good Life Bihon, Good Life Japanese Style Bread Crumbs, Good Life Sesame Oil, and Good Life Oyster Sauce.
People of all ages came to join us as there were lots to see and do.
Guests learned more about the origins of different Chinese food.
There were free food samples prepared by students and chefs from Center for Culinary Arts.
Some wrote their wishes and hung it on the wishing tree.
There was a wall showing the fortune of the 12 animal zodiac signs for 2016.
Plus a fortune telling booth for a more personalized overview for the coming year.
And different games for a chance to win exciting prizes.
There were also different booths that highlight Chinese culture and traditions.
And of course, the traditional dragon and lion dance performance to shoo away bad luck and welcome good luck.
It was an awesome first day of the Year of the Fire Monkey for me and for all of the guests who joined Good Life at their event. 🙂 Gong Xi Fa Cai! 🙂
