I’m such a fan of false lashes. I wear it almost every day of my life. Having chinita eyes, I like how it opens up my eyes. Some people recommend eyelash extensions because it supposedly looks more natural. Although eyelash extensions have been around for years, it’s only been recent when I’ve been curious with it.
Based on a friend’s recommendation, I went to Japanese beauty center Kiyosa for the service. There are many eyelash extension salons in the metro but I wanted a place I could trust, and Kiyosa is one of them. Since it is owned by a Japanese, I am assured the quality is there.
There’s a Kiyosa salon in F1 Hotel BGC but they opened a new branch in S Maison Mall. I went to their new branch since the waiting list isn’t long, unlike in their BGC branch. Aside from that, they have a soft opening discount of 30%.
Two days before the my appointment, I dropped by Kiyosa for a patch test. Basically, they attach 3-4 extensions to your lashes to check if you have allergies to the glue. I didn’t have any negative reaction to it so I went back for the extensions.
You can choose different types of length, curl, thickness and even color for the lashes! As for the look, you can choose among Natural, Cute or Sexy. For the lashes, I chose S-curl which stands for Super Curl, 0.15 in thickness, 11/12 in length, and 60 lashes per eye. As for the look, I went with Cute because it helps make the eyes look bigger since they attach long lashes in the middle and shorter ones on the sides. I didn’t even know length can affect how your eyes look!
My eyes are very sensitive so even if I passed the patch test, my eyes got very teary-eyed during the entire process. But that was just about it. I didn’t have any reaction towards the glue.
So after around 40 minutes, here are my lashes-
I love how it looks so natural! It’s high maintenance though as lashes fall off in 2-3 weeks. Price varies depending on the number of lashes and the technician. I had a junior technician and for 60 lashes with a 30% discount, I paid a little bit over 1000 pesos.
