Coloring your own hair is not hard, as long as you find a hair coloring kit that’s easy to use and gentle on the hair.
I recently colored my hair with L’Oreal Excellence Crème. Read on for my review.
Excellence Crème offers triple protection that leaves your hair rich-long lasting and color assuring 100% gray coverage. Triple Protection system revitalizes and protects hair from the inside and out.
INNOVATIONS AND INGREDIENTS:
HOW TO USE:
Apply according to pack directions the protective pre-color serum, followed by the coloring crème and developer crème. Rinse and condition with the protective conditioning balm.
It has Triple Care Color Technology, an advanced technology concentrating 3 powerful ingredients to strengthen hair leaving it soft and protected. So at least I am assured that the coloring won’t be damaging my hair big time.
There are 21 shades to choose from so I didn’t have a problem finding the shade I want. Personally, I stick to brown or gold shades because it flatters Filipino and Chinese skin well.
The box is complete – serum, colorant, developer, conditioner, gloves. There’s even two applicator tips included so you can choose which one to use depending on hair length. For short hair, you can use applicator tip. For medium length hair, you can use the comb. This is a big help because other coloring kits only have one applicator tip and it’s a challenge to color and comb at the same time. The comb applicator makes this step a breeze.
The colorant and developer when mixed has a mild conditioner scent to it.
After 30 minutes, I rinsed my hair and it left my hair very glossy and shiny! The color didn’t look flat or dimensionless. Aside from that, my hair was soft and healthy. In fact, I could run my fingers through it easily.
The whole kit is very affordable at only P399.
I hope they could sell allergy test samples so that just in case you are allergic to it, you wouldn’t have to spend for the whole kit.
I can’t stop raving about L’Oreal Excellence Crème! The ease of use, the results, and the price are reasons enough for me to color my hair confidently.
Just some additional tips- For long hair, use two boxes. For those who colored their hair black previously, unfortunately, hair coloring won’t work for you. It’s best to wait for your original hair to grow out.
Now that I’ve colored my own hair. It’s your turn. 🙂
