Our first port of call in our Carribean cruise is Nassau, the capital of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
It’s a bustling city with a mix of rich culture, nature’s beauty, and modern facilities.
I adore the pastel-colored British colonial buildings.
We visited Paradise Island, home to resorts, hotels, restaurants, etc. There’s also a public area where locals and tourists can just hang out.
The sand is white in color and fine in texture. The sea is clear, clean and blue. But I must say, our beaches in the Philippines which are way more beautiful. 🙂
There are also multicolored shops where tourists can buy souvenirs.
And there’s the ocean-themed resort Atlantis Paradise Island. It’s become so popular that it has become a top tourist destination.
Look up! That’s the ceiling inside Atlantis.
The sprawling resort boasts of a spa, casino, water park, marine habitat and more.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’ll visit Bahamas one day. It was a quick day trip but I could see why it is well-loved Carribean destination. It has a perfect combo of shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
